PRIVACY POLICY

Last Updated: 17th of November, 2025

At Sere Luxury Lifestyle LLC, we value the trust you place in us when you choose to visit our website, purchase our products, or engage with our brand. Respecting your privacy and protecting your personal information are at the heart of our commitment to you. This Privacy Policy explains in detail how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information. It also outlines the choices and rights you have in relation to your information under U.S. state laws, European data protection frameworks, and international best practices.

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected through our Shopify-hosted online store, website, mobile features, email/SMS communications, social media pages, and customer support channels (collectively, the “Services”). We do not operate a physical retail storefront and therefore do not collect in-store or point-of-sale location analytics, CCTV footage, or other on-premise data from walk-in customers.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect personal information in the following ways:

Purchases & Orders: When you buy from us, we collect name, billing and shipping address, phone number, email, payment details (processed securely), and order details.

Accounts: If you create a personal account, we collect your name, contact details, addresses, preferences, and order history. You are responsible for maintaining account security.

Marketing: If you sign up for promotional communications, we collect your name, contact information, date of birth, and preferences.

Customer Service: When you email, call, or chat with our support team, we collect your contact details and any information needed to process your inquiry.

Surveys, Contests & Promotions: If you participate, we may collect your name, contact details, age/date of birth, and preferences. In co-marketed promotions, we may share information with trusted partners, with your consent.

Public Forums: If you post in community forums or reviews, your information may be publicly visible. Exercise caution when sharing.

Social Media: If you connect with us via social networks (e.g., Facebook, Instagram), we may collect profile information, subject to your permissions.

Automated Collection: We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the cart and checkout, measure site performance, prevent fraud, personalize content, and (where applicable) show interest-based advertising. We do not collect in-store Wi-Fi probe requests, MAC addresses, or other brick-and-mortar foot-traffic analytics. You can manage preferences via our cookie banner, browser settings, and the “Your Privacy Choices / Do Not Sell or Share” link. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) where required.

Inferences: Preferences and interests may be inferred from purchase history, browsing behavior, or survey participation.

Sensitive Personal Information: We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information (as defined by applicable law) for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you, and we do not sell or share such information. If this changes, we will update this Policy and provide the required choices.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not “sell” or “share” information of anyone under 16.

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use your personal information primarily to fulfill our obligations to you as a customer. This includes processing and delivering orders, handling payments, providing customer support, and managing returns or exchanges. Beyond these core functions, we also use your information to improve our Services, to personalize your shopping journey, and to ensure that your interactions with our brand are efficient, secure, and enjoyable.

Marketing is another important use of your information, but we take care to respect your choices. With your consent, we may contact you by email, text message, or post to share information about new products, promotions, special events, or services we believe may interest you. If at any time you no longer wish to receive these communications, you may opt out easily through the unsubscribe link provided in our emails or by adjusting your account preferences.

We also use your personal information to detect and prevent fraud, unauthorized transactions, and misuse of our Services. Where required by law, we may process and disclose information to comply with legal obligations, respond to valid legal requests, or protect our rights and those of our customers.

For visitors from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal bases for processing your personal data include performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate interests (such as fraud prevention and service improvement), and, where applicable, your consent (for example, for marketing communications or non-essential cookies).

3. SHARING OF INFORMATION

We share your information only where it is necessary and proportionate. Service providers such as Shopify (our ecommerce host), payment processors, shipping companies, cloud storage providers, and analytics or advertising partners may access your data, but only to perform services on our behalf and subject to strict confidentiality obligations.

Occasionally, and with your consent, we may collaborate with marketing partners or cosponsors of promotions, in which case your information may be shared for the purposes of administering that promotion. We may also disclose your information in connection with corporate transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, or restructuring.

We do not sell personal information for money. However, under U.S. state privacy laws, certain uses of personal information for targeted advertising may qualify as “sharing.” You have the right to opt out of such sharing at any time, and we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where legally required.

Certain Shopify enhanced features may involve Shopify acting as an independent controller (for example, to improve its platform). For those activities, Shopify determines purposes and means of processing and responds to applicable rights requests. See Shopify’s consumer privacy notice/portal for details.

4. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

As a company headquartered in New York, we may transfer your information to the United States and to other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. Some of these countries may not provide the same level of data protection as your home jurisdiction. Where applicable, we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or their UK equivalents, together with supplementary safeguards, to ensure your data remains protected.

5. DATA RETENTION

We retain your information for as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy unless a longer retention period is required by law. For example, payment and transaction records are generally kept for up to seven years for tax and compliance purposes, while marketing and analytics data may be retained for up to two years. Account information is retained for the life of the account plus a reasonable period afterward to resolve any outstanding issues. When data is no longer needed, it is securely deleted or anonymized.

6. SECURITY

We take the security of your information seriously and have adopted a combination of organizational, technical, and physical safeguards. These include encryption of data in transit, secure networks, restricted access to personal data, and industry-standard payment processing systems. While we take commercially reasonable measures, no method of transmission or storage is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We encourage you to use strong, unique passwords and to take care when accessing your account on shared devices

7. YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on where you live, you may have specific legal rights in relation to your personal information. These may include the right to access and obtain a copy of your data, the right to correct inaccuracies, the right to request deletion, the right to restrict or object to processing, and the right to data portability. California residents also have rights to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and to limit the use of sensitive information. Residents of the European Union and United Kingdom may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and may lodge complaints with supervisory authorities.

We respond to verified requests within the timelines required by law, typically 45 days. To make a request, you may use the “Your Privacy Choices” link in our website footer, submit a request through our privacy request webform, or email us directly at sereluxurylifestyle@gmail.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” If you appoint an authorized agent to act on your behalf, we will require proof of authorization and may also request confirmation from you directly.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. If we deny your request to exercise a right, you may have the right to appeal our decision. Instructions for submitting an appeal will be included in our response, as required by applicable law.

8. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Our Services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 13. We also do not knowingly sell or share personal information of minors under the age of 16. If you believe that a child has provided information to us, please contact us so that we can delete it promptly.

9. REGION-SPECIFIC DISCLOSURES

For residents of California and other U.S. states with privacy legislation, we provide notice of the categories of information collected, the purposes of use, and the rights available under applicable law. For residents of the EU/UK, we process data in accordance with GDPR, relying on lawful bases as described earlier and providing you with rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, and object to processing.

10. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in law, technology, or our practices. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. In cases of material changes, we may also notify you by email or through a prominent website notice.
